Package: xapers

https://ci.debian.net/packages/x/xapers/unstable/amd64/ shows that
there are intermittent failures in the autopkgtest.
I suspect that the issue is when XAPERS_ROOT contains an underscore,
then the filtering (sed "s|$XAPERS_ROOT|XAPERS_ROOT|") doesn't behave
as expected.
why the underscore is escaped in the first place, i don't know!
