Package: runit Version: 2.1.2-23 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
currently, when user upgrades package to version, providing runscript, when service is already running (started before by init.d script), runsv will keep trying to start second instance, as prescribed by /etc/service/<foo>/run runscript. It is required, that in this situation either runscript should `down' itself, either stop init.d instance with `/etc/init.d/<foo> stop'. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10 APT prefers buildd-unstable APT policy: (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'buildd-experimental'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=eo.utf8, LC_CTYPE=eo.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=eo.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: runit (via /run/runit.stopit) Versions of packages runit depends on: ii libc6 2.28-8 ii runit-helper 2.8.8 ii sysuser-helper 1.3.3 Versions of packages runit recommends: ii runit-init 2.1.2-23 runit suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
