Package: chkrootkit Version: 0.46a-3 Severity: normal
I just installed the new version of chkrootkit. When installing, it asked me if I wanted to not receive emails daily when only the same issues as the previous day were found. I answered that I did NOT want to receive duplicate emails. I was still getting the same emails every day. My automatically generated /etc/chkrootkit.conf file looks like: RUN_DAILY="true" RUN_DAILY_OPTS="-q" LOG_FILE="/var/log/chkrootkit.log"DIFF_MODE="false" There are two problems, one is that DIFF_MODE should be on a new line... it does not work if it is not. Also that DIFF_MODE should be set to true based on my answer to the configuration question. I suppose I could have answered the question incorrectly, but maybe it should be checked. If I put DIFF_MODE="true" on a separate line then it works.
