This will add a runtime dependency on libmaxminddb0 and I'm not sure everyone will be happy with that as this is a rather uncommonly used library and thus not installed by default. Splitting out this tiny module seems like a lot of overhead. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
