I concur that renaming the variable is a better solution. It would help
other distributions as well.

I concur that this is not freeze material (and that should be obvious
from the chosen severity). I don't think an experimental upload is
necessary here. Just make sure that you close this bug if you make
progress. Doing so will trigger a retest on my end (once it reaches
unstable) and I can reopen in case it still doesn't work.
