I made an experimental port of wmakerconf to GTK+ 2, but the result has been less than a resounding success. Apparently the fontconfig font names (or whatever it is that Window Maker 0.90 uses) are not quite identical to the ones used in Pango (GTK+ 2's font library). There are also some other weird issues. You can find a link to the port, called wmakerconf 2.10, at the page http://www.starplot.org/wmakerconf/ if you want to play with it. I unfortunately no longer have the time (or the interest, having switched to Gnome/Metacity on my laptop) to fix wmakerconf to work well with Window Maker 0.90 and GTK+ 2. If you know someone who does, please point them to me! > Otherwise, I should say that wmakerconf is much nicer than WPrefs, and I > use it almost exclusively. Thanks for the praise, although almost all of it is deserved by the original author, Ullrich Hafner. best regards, -- Kevin B.
