That was my first thought.  I made an experimental port of wmakerconf to
GTK+ 2, but the result has been less than a resounding success.
Apparently the fontconfig font names (or whatever it is that Window
Maker 0.90 uses) are not quite identical to the ones used in Pango (GTK+
2's font library).  There are also some other weird issues.  You can
find a link to the port, called wmakerconf 2.10, at the page
http://www.starplot.org/wmakerconf/ if you want to play with it.

I unfortunately no longer have the time (or the interest, having
switched to Gnome/Metacity on my laptop) to fix wmakerconf to work well
with Window Maker 0.90 and GTK+ 2.  If you know someone who does, please
point them to me!
