I think this bug report belongs to the package plymouth.
If I add the patch for /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/plymouth seams
to be:
95a96
> mkdir -p "${DESTDIR}/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts"
Can you confirm this solves your problem?
