So could you please try Net::SSLeay 1.25 compiled against libssl0.9.8?
If it won't work with that combination as well it's most probably an
openssl problem, which I actually think it is anyway, as I haven't
changed much things between Net::SSleay 1.25 and 1.30 that concerns
backwards compatibility.
