I just tried this -- remounted /dev/pts with mode=600 and started dvtm(1) and stterm(1). This resulted in /dev/pts/{0,1} with $USER:tty, 600. So to be `TTYMODE' seems to work. Did I miss something? -- Note, that I send and fetch email in batch, once in a few days. Please, mention in body of your reply when you add or remove recepients.
