Package: qemu-user-static Version: 1:3.1+dfsg-8~deb10u1 Severity: normal Tags: patch
Dear Maintainer, After an upgrade to buster (from stretch) my mipsel chroot qemu container failed to start. The reported error was: qemu: Unexpected FPU mode A quick search lead to: https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg611477.html https://launchpadlibrarian.net/419651860/0001-1825002-fix-mips-Unexpected-FPU-mode.patch So I downloaded the source (apt-get source qemu-user-static seems to get all of qemu), applied the above patch and rebuilt with dpkg-buildpackage. I installed the resulting qemu-user-static_3.1+dfsg-8~deb10u1_amd64.deb package and all is now OK (for me). So the Debian package needs this patch.... -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled qemu-user-static depends on no packages.
