Package: flightgear
Version: 0.9.9-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

when trying to run flightgear with --disable-sound (since my /dev/dsp is
misconfigured at the moment), I got that:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ fgfs --disable-sound
[...some X module debug info...]
opening file: /usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/carrier_nav.dat
/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Navaids/TACAN_freq.dat
open /dev/[sound/]dsp: No such device
Audio initialization failed!
There was an error opening the ALC device
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'sg_exception'
Abandon

So I guess that this option does what is wanted: no sound on output, but
it would be (IMHO) interesting if this option could turn off all sound
related calls.

Thanks for your maintaining it.
