Package: kate-plugins Version: 4:3.3.2-1 Severity: normal Hi,
I have noticed a problem using aspell in Kate since aspell was upgraded to version 0.60. Kate, Kile, Quanta, etc. are now no longer able to find the extra dictionaries from packages such as aspell-en, aspell-de, etc. The cause of this problem is a name change of the dictionary directory in the current version of aspell, from /usr/lib/aspell to /usr/lib/aspell-0.60. (This was probably necessary since the new format of the dictionaries is incompatible with the old one.) ln -s /usr/lib/aspell-0.60 /usr/lib/aspell is OK as a temporary workaround, but as a permanent solution the spellchecker plugin should be changed so that it uses `aspell config dict-dir` to find the location of the dictionary directory.
