i'm not entirely certain that it is, and in the meantime i've focused on
getting it to build with and against python 3. after some work on this
i've determined that duplicity 0.8.0 doesn't properly work with
python 3 either.

i haven't had the time to look at the new 0.8.1 yet, which is going to be
the next step.
