Package: nemo Version: 4.0.6-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
On upgrade to Cinnamon 4, settings no longer launch properly. Trying to run cinnamon-settings from a terminal results in the Python error: ValueError: Namespace Nemo not available Manually installing the gir1.2-nemo-3.0 as per https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/8203#issuecomment-449746265 package fixes the error and launches all Settings applications correctly. Nemo should probably depend on this package so it is automatically installed and Cinnamon works correctly. Not sure if this is a bug for Cinnamon or Nemo, but since the dependency contains 'nemo' I am reporting it here. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.2.11-towo.1-siduction-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages nemo depends on: ii cinnamon-desktop-data 4.0.1-1 ii desktop-file-utils 0.24-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 3.28.1-1 ii gvfs 1.38.1-5 ii libatk1.0-0 2.33.3+really2.32.0-4 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.16.0-4 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libcinnamon-desktop4 4.0.1-1 ii libexempi8 2.5.1-1 ii libexif12 0.6.21-5.1 ii libgail-3-0 3.24.10-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.1+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.60.6-2 ii libglib2.0-data 2.60.6-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.10-1 ii libnemo-extension1 4.0.6-1 ii libnotify4 0.7.8-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.42.4-7 ii libselinux1 2.9-2+b2 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii libxapp1 1.4.9-1 ii libxml2 2.9.4+dfsg1-7+b3 ii nemo-data 4.0.6-1 ii shared-mime-info 1.10-1 Versions of packages nemo recommends: ii cinnamon-l10n 4.0.2-1 ii gvfs-backends 1.38.1-5 ii gvfs-fuse 1.38.1-5 ii librsvg2-common 2.44.14-1 ii nemo-fileroller 4.0.0-1 Versions of packages nemo suggests: ii eog 3.28.4-2+b1 ii evince [pdf-viewer] 3.30.2-3 ii mpg321 [mp3-decoder] 0.3.2-3 ii totem 3.32.0-2 ii xdg-user-dirs 0.17-2 -- no debconf information
