One request in advance: Please use reportbug to open a new bug. This will directly assign the bug to the correct package and capture important system information. Since the delay does not only occur with simple-scan, the cause is rather in the driver. If the driver "iscan-gt-f720-bundle-1.0.1.x64.deb" does not come from one of the Debian repositories, please contact the support of the manufacturer. So I close the bug here.
