Since Gnome update in Debian 10 testing somewhere around September 15, 2019 mouse pointer started to disappear whenever it gets to any menu, task bar, activity sidebar. When mouse gets to menu or taskbar etc. , it becomes invisible. The only hint to use it is - only sometimes - grey square that highlites the active item.
