The upstream developers of mediathekview changed the build system again. They started with ant, then there was gradle and now it is maven. They also frequently change build-dependencies which have not been packaged for Debian yet. The current version works fine. I suggest to disable the new upstream version check in the settings menu. If there is more time available I will package the latest upstream release eventually. Regards, Markus
