Package: libnotify Version 0.3.2-3 Severity: normal If I depend on and use libnotify-dev, at link time I get a link failure. This is because the pkg-config file forcs linking to the following libraries:
Libs: -L${libdir} -lnotify -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgtk-x11-2.0 -lgdk-x11-2.0
-lXrandr -lXi -lXinerama
-lXext -latk-1.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lm -lpangocairo-1.0 -lfontconfig
-lXcursor -lpango-1.0 -lcairo -lXrender -lX11 -lgobject-2.0
-lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -ldbus-glib-1 -ldbus-1 -lglib-2.0
But not all of those are installed when libnotify-dev is installed.
