Of course I can tweak the postfix configuration to do this. But that's not the point. The package configuration of postfix gives me 4 choices to configure the system. One of these choices is "Satellite system". And, if I may cite the description again, it clearly states "root and postmaster mail is delivered according to /etc/aliases". The point is that postfix if it is configured as a "Satellite system" does not do what it claims to do. So at least the description should be adapted to the real behaviour. This, although, would only be the second best "solution" as the current description perfectly fits a satellite system.
