i agree upstream projects should move to mock but not all of them are there yet.

in the case of the py2 removal process, it would be extremely helpful
to have as many packages as possible in the team, so that we could
have a more standardize approach to upload packages to remove their
py2 packages. of course, it's your choice where you want to maintain
your packages, i just think for a python module, that place is DPMT
