Package: virt-manager Version: 1:2.2.1-2 Severity: important Hello and thanks for maintaining this package in Debian.
While looking at its debian/copyright file, I noticed that it states, in part: [...] | help/: | | Copyright 2007 Red Hat Inc., and Hugh Brock | | Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this | document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation | License (GFDL), Version 1.1 or any later version published | by the Free Software Foundation with no Invariant Sections, | no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts. | | On Ubuntu / Debian GNU/Linux systems, the complete text of the GNU Free | Documentation License can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/GFDL'. However, I fail to find any trace of this help/ directory or of any GFDL-licensed material in the [source] package. [source]: <https://salsa.debian.org/libvirt-team/virt-manager/tree/e3e1e87de602cd44fdde01a1d6ebd940f85abb5c> Maybe I looked in the wrong places, hence I am not sure, but I am beginning to suspect that such material is no longer present in the package. Should the debian/copyright file be perhaps updated so that it reflects the current licensing status of the package? Please note that this bug (if confirmed) could be seen as a violation of a "must" directive of Debian Policy (section [2.3]), and hence the severity of the bug report should probably be "serious". Nonetheless, I chose "important", as I am not sure about the actual presence of the bug... [2.3]: <https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-archive.html#s-pkgcopyright> Please let me know and/or fix the bug. Thanks for your time!
