But I know nothing about udev, what I have done wrong, or what cd-aliases.rules is about, or ... Basically, it's an error message which gives me very little idea where it originates or what I can do to fix it. /etc/udev/cd-aliases.rules is a fragment of a shell script which makes no sense to me - what do I do with it? And it has lots of %e's in it! I'm a reasonably knowledgeable user who is used to the traditional /dev setup, and have had udev installed for me by the latest Debian. It should, ideally, work automatically! So I'm reopening this bug report because installing udev gave an error message; the installation should (offer) to fix such problems.
