Package: wine Version: 4.0-2 ----- sorry for the wrong package name
tried to build a wine 1.8.7. from sources on my buster as a workaround. make stops here: ---------8<--------------------- ../tools/sfnt2fon/sfnt2fon -o coue1255.fon courier.ttf -d 128 13,1255,8 Error: Cannot open face courier.ttf ---------8<--------------------- error can be reproduced on the command line. file courier.ttf is in place. There must something be wrong with the format of the file. The same error is reported here: https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=19697 albeit without a solution mentioned. May I suspect that the issue was fixed in more recent versions of wine, but some remnant remains "down the rabitt hole"? These are going to bite me now? -- Wolfgang Rosner
