A new version of zim was released (0.14) this bug should be fixed now.
Since I got a large number of bugs from various users relating to either missing svg libs or window/desktop managers not supporting svg properly I reverted to the use of png for the icon on all platforms. The svg image is included for those we want it but it is not used by the application.
