A brief status update for the record.... The iwd version(s) in testing/unstable still build with the internal/bundeled (lib)ell. While iwd has reached 1.0 and thus API stability, the ell has not.
Note: the src:ell package still has no reverse (build-)dependencies in debian. >From what I've been told (upstream) bluez will move away from ell. This should leave iwd as the only user of ell, so packaging ell separately might not be a (future) useful strategy. Maybe a solution would be to remove the (separate) src:ell package if the maintainer agrees, which would also resolve the current duplication. Regards, Andreas Henriksson
