I did not upload a new version as I wanted to keep it out of testing for
that reason, sorry for not stating that in the bug report.

winpdb-reborn and move to Python 3 (and not my closing of this bug,
which is pretty much unrelated).
I thought 1.4.8 is already from the -reborn fork. Didn't have the time
to investigate further.
Nope, it seems that 1.4.8 is still from the original upstream.
Yes, it does seem to work as best as I can tell, but I'm not really
familiar with winpdb. I'm just really trying to help the Python 3
porting effort.

It seems like the other choice would be to remove
winpdb from Debian, as Python 2 is going away.
As far as I can tell removing is the only option, or somebody needs to
take over upstream development. Not sure, though.
Why don't you give a try to the updated package that Dmitry and I have
prepared and see if it works well enough for you? Otherwise, we can RM
it.
