Package: libpam-gnome-keyring Version: 3.34.0-1 Severity: minor File: /usr/share/doc/libpam-gnome-keyring/README.Debian
The README.Debian in for libpam-gnome-keyring states that GDM integrates it into its PAM config, but it needs to be added manually for other DMs. Currently, at least lightdm ships config for it, as do (according to code search[1]) LXDM and SDDM. Suggested text to replace the README body: > The default PAM configurations for GDM, gnome-screensaver and several > other display managers and screensavers already use pam_gnome_keyring. > Password change is also implemented through the global PAM > configuration. > > If you want to start gnome_keyring from addiional display managers, you > need to add the following lines to the corresponding /etc/pam.d/?dm > file: [1]: http://codesearch.debian.net/search?q=pam_gnome_keyring.so&literal=1&perpkg=1 -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.3.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libpam-gnome-keyring:amd64 depends on: ii libc6 2.29-8 ii libpam-runtime 1.3.1-5 ii libpam0g 1.3.1-5 ii libselinux1 3.0-1 Versions of packages libpam-gnome-keyring:amd64 recommends: ii gnome-keyring 3.34.0-1 libpam-gnome-keyring:amd64 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To use raw power is to make yourself infinitely vulnerable to greater powers. -- Bene Gesserit axiom
