Hm, and I think, after having slept over it, I will go with your patch
in the end. ;-)
I'd feel uncomfortable with splitting such a small package in two even
smaller ones, and just moving Tcl/Tk to a suggestion field is likely
to leave too many users without a usable frontend. (or with a surprise
if they try "tkremind")
Your patch provides most users with a reasonable frontend and people
who _really_ want to use remind only with a text editor can still do
so.
