Hi, I've just verified this bug on Debian 9 (versoin 0.28). However, it doesn't seem to affect 0.31 (on Debian 10)
The status is currently "wishlist" but I guess it should be bumped because Debian 9 and 8 don't have a fixed version of certbot.
