There's a new upstream release of avahi available now, see: https://alioth-lists.debian.net/pipermail/pkg-utopia-maintainers/2020-February/027450.html I've updated my previous work on python3 conversion of avahi from the previous upstream snapshot to the new 0.8 release (and rebased it on top of the 0.7-5 changes that has gone into the official packaging repo since). My work is available at: https://salsa.debian.org/ah/avahi Please note that this is only build-tested.
