Hi! I merged your two bug reports, because it seems that they're about the same issue. In the future, you can indicate that the problem still exists in another version by using the "Control: found -1" <version> command (see [1] for details to manage the Debian BTS).
I too am running network manager, and using it to manage a wired connection. However, my upgrade went smoothly. Could you go into more detail about your configuration? In which prior version of network manager was this working? Did anything else change? What is the output of "nmcli connection"? Can you also please include your NetworkManager.conf file?
