Source: python3-defaults Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Forwarded: https://salsa.debian.org/cpython-team/python3-defaults/-/merge_requests/4
Prompted by https://lists.debian.org/debian-python/2020/03/msg00071.html: For packages that have documentation of significant size, like src:dbus-python, the Python policy doesn't say how we conventionally name the documentation binary package. My understanding is that the preferred answer is python-{module}-doc, and in particular not python3-{module}-doc, even if the module in question only supports Python 3. If this is correct, please consider the attached patch, also available at <https://salsa.debian.org/cpython-team/python3-defaults/-/merge_requests/4> (which I will update with an appropriate Closes: line when I get a bug number). smcv
