This is an obscure issue. I open the gnome-terminal. There I open a second and a third tab. In the first and the second tab, I can use the 'less' command. In the 3rd, 4th, ... tab, it doesn't work. I've attached a screenshot with the result I see. Closing the first or second tab, does not change the behaviour. Because this makes it impossible to use fully use the terminal, I set the severity initially to important.
