Package: python3-gevent
Version: 1.4.0-1.2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I recently came across this bug:
https://github.com/gevent/gevent/issues/1491

In short the DNS resolver fail with a TypeError when the name cannot be
resolved.

And this comment say that gevent 1.4 is not compatible with python3.8.
https://github.com/gevent/gevent/issues/1491#issuecomment-564217771

But since python3-gevent is marked as depending on python >= 3.8~, I
don't know what it should be compatible with. I guess more tests are
needed.

However, the version 1.5.0 should include the fix. It has been released
about 2 weeks ago. Therefore I think the best way to fix this bug would
be to hasten the upgrade of this package.

Best regards
Celelibi
