Hi, The load_extension feature of sqlite3 searchs for the specified extensions into the system's default path for shared libraries. But these extensions shouldn't be installed into these paths because they are not system libraries. As the Debian policy requests it, they should be installed into /usr/lib/sqlite3 or /usr/lib/<arch-triplet>/sqlite3. Then, it would be convenient to set the above paths as default search locations for the extensions. This way, the sqlite3-pcre extention could be loaded without specifying its full path: sqlite> .load pcre sqlite> Thanks for considering. _g. - -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.4.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages sqlite3 depends on: ii libc6 2.30-4 ii libreadline8 8.0-4 ii libsqlite3-0 3.31.1-4 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-2 sqlite3 recommends no packages.
