I have the same problem. I found my connection losing dns service about once a day and that was cured with an ifdown-ifup cycle. Using plain IP-numbers did work at that time. Now, I noticed my resolv.conf looks corrupted:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf search Starting the Firestarter firewall: done. 10.19.19 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ Once I do the ifdown-ifup cycle it looks the way it should [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf search nameserver 193.210.18.18 nameserver 193.210.19.19 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ I have a ADSL box prividing DHCP to my home network and the nameservers are ISP maintained. The ADSL box only forwards DNS traffic. Package: dhcp-client Version: 2.0pl5-19.4 Package: firestarter Version: 1.0.3-1.1 Anything else I can do? I'd really like to see this bug closed. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
