Agreed. slop should be split in two as well, to have the soname
represented in the package name to respect policy. But then that would
become a huge pain in the arse because it would trigger a transition
every time it would make a new release, which is often.

But yes, as a stopgap, just having maim have a versioned depends would
improve things.
