Package: libnss3-dev
Version: 3.42.1-1+deb10u2
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

thank you for maintaining libnss3-dev.

This might be closely related to #737855, which sadly doesn't seem to
have had much activity since 2014.

libnss3-dev:amd64 is not not coinstallable with libnss3-dev:armhf,
either directly, or because the libnspr4-dev dependency is also not
coinstallable between amd64 and armhf.

This is the current blocker that I can't overcome for having qtwebengine
compiled as part of a Qt5 integrated cross-development environment:
https://www.enricozini.org/blog/2020/qt5/qt5-custom-build-for-armhf-embedded-development/

Also, I find coinstallable development libraries very desirable in all
sorts of cross-development situations.

Could nss (and I guess also nspr) please be made to be coinstallable
across architectures?

Enrico
