Dear colleagues, I've got the same error. However: it might be interesting, that after doing a source build and installation as described in https://wiki.debian.org/BuildingTutorial up to and including "Rebuild without changes" everything works. Even using the package from the testing repo works afterwards the rebuild from source. Might be helpfull for your research.
