Hello, I've just tested this on 3.36, and it seems to work fine without e-d-s. To test, I did a quick:
$ dpkg -r --force-depends evolution-data-server evolution-data-server-common After restarting gnome-session, the desktop worked without issue, and no e-d-s processes were started. It seems this can safely be moved to a Recommends?
