Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Changed the option in Prefrances -> Thumbnails ->
"Rotate thumbnail according to Exif orientation value" to enabled

   * What was the outcome of this action?
This causes phototonic to segfault when atempting to rotate a Thumbnail
with the message "Failed to read Exif metadata"

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Thumbnailes to be displayed is the "correct" Exif defined orientation

While investegating the fault I Checked out and compiled HEAD from the upstream
repo.
Using HEAD the bug did not happen.
Found a fix in code that resolves the issue (gig commit
baa2a76881059df8d04f23f7c5175aee11c0cfbf)
Other updates could also be responcible to resolving this issue
This update has not been added to a tag or release upstream yet.

I have build and installed my own local copy of the deb
phototonic_2.1-3_amd64.deb and tested with sucess (this was probally a bad
idea!
