Nice check. /run and /var/run are the same directory.
root@malistand:~# ls -l / |grep -i run
drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 660 jul 18 16:13 run
root@malistand:~# ls -l /var |grep -i run
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 may 28 13:50 lock -> /run/lock
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 may 28 13:50 run -> /run
