Source: facter Version: 3.11.0-4.2 Severity: important Hi, as per https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/migrating-to-v1-metadata-server Google is going to shutdown the beta metadata endpoint end of September 2020. Upstream this was accounted for in the 3.11.x branch some time ago with https://github.com/puppetlabs/facter/commit/1a0bc4e984716dc5145e5bb8fbf14b1ac0fd8c04
I believe we should ship a fix via proposed-updates to a forthcoming Debian buster point release. Will take a look at getting a NMU ready and test drive the patch, though it's more or less a no brainer two line change. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (90, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
