As you can see in the upstream bug, the build type Release seems to play
an important part in my attempts to reproduce the bug.

Correct, but that should not be relevant here. I can also reproduce the
crash if clang-tidy is installed at build time. (I'll probably add
clang-tidy to Build-Depends in the next upload.)

If you have further information to provide, please consider adding them
to the upstream bug such that all information is in one place. Thanks!
