Package: calamares-settings-debian
Version: 11.0.2-1
When trying to install Debian 10.5 using the Live Image, I received an
"Installation Failed" error. A dialog box popped up saying "No display
managers selected for the displaymanager module. The list is empty after
checking for installed display managers." I believe this is related to bug
#934503 ("enabling autologin doesn't work") due to the displaymanager
module not being enabled in settings.conf. But now that it seems the
displaymanager module is enabled, when I try to install 10.5 with autologin
disabled, it causes the installation to fail.
I have a screenshot of the error message from the failed installation as
well, but it simply contains the text above in the quotes. I tried to
install it twice, thinking that there might have been some error on my
part, but that does not seem to be the case. I have since used the Live
Image installation for 10.4 and it installed just fine. I checked the
ChangeLog for 10.5 and saw that there seemed to be a fix regarding the
displaymodule that fixed bug #934503. That seems to be the issue causing
the 10.5 Live Image installation to fail now.
