Hi, I forwarded it upstream to https://gitlab.com/orcus/orcus/-/issues/124 and it seems that it does not fail if one rebuilds libixion first. So that means that this bug could be solved by bin-NMUing libxion. (mdds is header-only, and you would want to have some way of expressing "if orcus is built with x, rebuild ixion with x first" (at least for this specific mdds version) which ttbomk is not possible to express.
