hey,

I encountered a similar issue, can't reproduce it any-more.

Our wlan/wifi is a hidden network.

I installed iwd, disabled wpasupplicant, configured network-manager to
use iwd.

So far so good, after some days, the wlan stop working, out of nothing
when i tried to to change to another hidden network.

Nothing works, even the build in network card,
 ~$ inxi -N
Network: Device-1: Intel 82577LM Gigabit Network driver: e1000e
           Device-2: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 driver: iwlwifi
wasn't recognized.

So i tried to switch back to wpasupplicant, nothing works, no network
card, nothing all dead.

I decided to remove all stuff, wpasupplicant, network-manager, iwd and
reinstalled only iwd.

Configured iwd via iwctl and some tweaking of its config, since two
weeks i have no issue with it.

My two cent on it:

1. don't mix wpasupplicant and iwd, don't install them together, it
could be the reason why, it could not must!

2. don't use nm with iwd while wpasupplicant is installed (disabled)

3. try to use nm with iwd as wifi backend without having wpasupplicant
installed, this is the only chance to test what is triggering that
issue.

4, use iwctl if you don't need the functionality of nm.
