There's a new upstream release available. I just packaged it for Ubuntu because I noticed that the autopkgtest was broken after GStreamer 1.18 was uploaded. (Couldn't find omx.so.) They ported to meson, so it required some changes. Here's my packaging in case that's useful for you for Debian.
