I just tested with linux tar.bz2 version from their website, it works :
the popup warning you from unknown cert nd allowing you to add and trust
it shows immediaterly. TB v 78.3.1
seems to work great with pinning TB from unstable (78.3.1-2).
what can we do to make it go faster to testing ?

this look like a clearly upstream related issue.
I'd kindly request that you please open up a upstream bug report about
this problem. Afterwards we link together the two bug reports and we get
informed here once upstream is doing any action on the report on the
Mozilla bugtracker.
