This part confuses me, because the allocation-changed error should happen there too, regardless if Wayland of X11… Regardless, I'll update the package in a few minutes (and with the upload the bug will be closed). If you still see the error with the version 20201005-1, please reopen the bug and run journalctl --user /usr/bin/gnome-shell with some luck, there are any hints in the journal. Thanks! -- tobi
